We had a bottle of Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel 07 on the beach at Arniston on xmas day and another at the apartment on New Year eve.

Lovely fizz, and so reasonably priced compared with fizz in UK

A Simonsig classic! Enjoy your time on the east coast, I’ll be spending most of my time on the west coast. Try get up to Cloof to try their Cellar Blend, the 2004 has peaked and the 2008 shows good potential!
